What is Arrowdot?
Arrowdot is an AI software platform rethinking how software is built, owned, and distributed. Today that starts with a production-grade app builder: a development platform that lets founders, engineers, and product teams create full-stack applications that are production-ready from day one and designed to evolve without technical debt or forced rewrites. But the app builder is phase one. Arrowdot’s vision extends to a connected app economy where apps and their creators can share value, and ultimately to a distributed software infrastructure that returns ownership and control to the people and businesses who use it. See the vision
How is Arrowdot different from other AI app builders?
Most AI app builders produce results quickly, but they’re built on the same traditional foundations as conventional development. That means the familiar problems like schema regret, fragile workflows, reliance on third-party databases and difficulty in evolving and scaling still arrive, just a few months later. Arrowdot rethinks the underlying architecture entirely: event-driven, schema-free, and designed to evolve. Why choose Arrowdot?
What kind of apps can I build on Arrowdot?
Arrowdot is a full-stack platform suited to a wide range of business applications from booking systems, CRMs, and e-commerce platforms to document workflows, logistics tools, and data-rich internal products. It’s particularly well-suited to apps where the requirements will change over time, which, in practice, is most serious software.
Do I need to be a developer to use Arrowdot?
Not necessarily. Non-technical founders can use Arrowdot to describe, refine, and launch products without a dev team upfront. Technical users benefit from skipping boilerplate and infrastructure setup while working with an architecture they can reason about and trust. Arrowdot is designed to reduce dependence on large engineering teams, not to require one.
What does Arrowdot cost?
Pricing is transparent and built for predictable total cost of ownership. We offer a Production plan at $299 per month for scaling businesses, and custom enterprise options. You can view the full breakdown of compute credits and limits on our pricing page. See the pricing
When can I get access?
Early clients are already using Arrowdot in production. We’re making the platform publicly available soon. Subscribe to our newsletter to be first in line, or contact us directly if you’d like to discuss a private preview.
Will I be locked in to Arrowdot?
Lock-in is one of the most common complaints about platform-based development, and it’s something we take seriously. Because Arrowdot is built on an event-driven architecture, your data and business logic are explicit and inspectable, not buried in proprietary abstractions. Our goal is to earn your continued use through value, not trap you through dependency.
What counts as an entity?
Each time you create a new record (an order, a document, a user, etc.) that counts as an entity. Updates to existing entities are included in the entity’s lifecycle cost.
Can I switch plans?
Yes, upgrade, downgrade or cancel anytime. We’ll prorate the difference for upgrades. For downgrades we’ll switch you at the end of your billing cycle. Cancellations take effect at the end of your billing cycle.
What happens if I exceed my plan limit?
You’ll be notified and can upgrade, or we’ll bill overages at PAYG rates.
Do I need to build a backend?
No. Arrowdot provides the backend for your app: storage, queries, and APIs are all handled by the platform. You focus on defining what your app does and how it looks. Everything else is taken care of.
How does the AI assistant help me build?
Arrowdot’s AI assistant works with you in a conversational interface to create and iterate on your app. It can build screens, define business logic, and guide you through implementing user journeys step by step. You describe what you want, the AI implements it, and you refine from there.
What is a user journey?
A user journey is a named, step-by-step flow in your app (for example, ‘User signs up’ or ‘User places an order’). You define the intent and the success criteria, and Arrowdot uses that to generate the screens and logic needed to implement it. Breaking your app into journeys makes it straightforward to build and iterate incrementally.
Can I charge for my app?
Yes. Arrowdot supports Stripe Connect, so you can accept one-time payments and recurring subscriptions directly within your app. Stripe handles checkout, billing, and payouts, and you keep your own Stripe dashboard for management. Arrowdot charges a platform fee on payments processed through your app.
How does sign-in and authentication work?
Users sign in with Google or GitHub. Your app can define its own user roles and profiles on top of that identity, so you have full control over what different users can see and do within your product.
Do I need to write SQL or manage a database?
No. You define the shape of your data and Arrowdot handles storage and querying automatically. There are no databases to configure, no SQL to write, and no migrations to manage.
How do I get started?
Sign in with Google or GitHub, create a workspace, and describe your app. Use the AI assistant to define your user journeys, and Arrowdot generates the screens and logic to bring them to life. You can start with a rough idea and iterate as you go. No upfront configuration or infrastructure setup is required.
